Here are our group guidelines: ● As a peer support group, we ask everyone to engage and share. The healing value of the group is directly related to how much each person participates. We do recognize that there may be moments when someone is unable to talk and needs to pass. ● We recognize that each of us has lost someone to suicide and respect that we are in different places in our grief. Each person’s grief journey is unique. There’s no right or wrong way to grieve. ● We ask you not to share the specific method of your loved one’s death. If you would like to talk about the specifics, please call our office for a one-on-one conversation of support. ● We ask that each of us be fully present, give yourself this gift of time and healing. Put aside distractions. ● Share, listen, ask questions and support one another as your comfort allows. Please allow space for each person to share and avoid monopolizing the conversation or interrupting each other. ● We respect everyone’s religious, spiritual, or cultural beliefs…while endorsing none. ● Everything that we hear and talk about in the group is confidential.
